The house mentioned below eventually became the home of Seligmann Marx and Mina nee Stern Marx - my 2nd great grandparents and their children. City of Schwaebisch-Hall has documentation of occupancy by Marx family and in 1827 lists David Loew, later Limburger, as the owner.
My translation from "Mayer Seligmann, Judt zu Unterlimpurg":
David Loew was the son of Loew Mayer's third marriage Loew Mayer with Hanna. He was from Wiesenbach, but in 1813, together with his bride Braeuntel / Babette Jandort from Hengstfeld, he became a protected Jew of Hall.
In 1819 he acquired half a house in Unterlimpurg from his stepbrother Hayum Loew, in 1824 the other half. David was born in 1788 and lived until 1847. In 1826 he adopted the name Limburger - certainly a reference to the place where his family had lived since 1688. Around 1830, David Limburger was the head of the Jewish community.
