Bro. David Morris, (June 2, 1819 – October 30, 1895), aged 76, died from heart failure in the town of Sulphur. He had been a leading member of the Southern Baptist Church since its organization, being one of its constituent members. This brother was born in Woodford County, KY and came to Henry County when he was 16 years old. He learned the blacksmith trade with his uncle, Arguile Bomer, noted as the inventor of the celebrated Bomer plow.
