According to the Book "DURHAM COUNTY" by Jean Anderson, the Parker family lived in Red Mountain; David had a Tannery. The only church in Red Mountain was on the Plantation of David Parker, built probably in the early 1840s.
During the War of 1812, David Parker served in the Eno (Third) Battalion of the Orange Regiment Militia.
