Deacon Thomas Wales was born on 19 April 1695 in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Elder Nathaniel Wales and Joanna Faxon.
On 13 January 1719 Thomas, at age 23, married Mary Belcher.
On 7 September 1742 Thomas, at age 47, married Sarah Brown, at age 35, daughter of Ichabod Brown and Martha Woodbury, in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.
