On March 30, 1755 Amos and Anne Andrews owned "The Covenent". After the division of the town into Parishes he became a leading man in the affairs of the Second Parish and was Deacon of that church.

"Amos Andrews was an active citizen later in the town's history. After the division of the town into Parishes he became a leading man in the affairs of the Second Parish, and was for many years a deacon of the church there.
