In the birth registry of Rutland listing Ephraim's daughter Mary, Ephraim is listed as Mary's father and Rebeckah as wife to Ephraim there is a abbreviated title of " Dea." in front of his name I am making an assumption then that this stands for Deacon a leader of the Church.

In the death registry of Rutland it mentions that the death was very sudden this is referring to a story about Ephraim's death found in Genealogical Guide to the Early Settlers of America where Ephraim was found dead just out side of his barn door apparently fell over dead while he was walking to the barn, he was going to the barn to do some work there, there he was found out side of the barn near a clump of grass.
