A son of Ebenezer and Abigail Ellice Fisher; married Mary Adams, daughter of John & Sarah Fairbanks Adams. Jabez Fisher was a member of the Governor's Council, the Provincial Congress, and the Committee of safety. He was a Delegate to the Massachusetts Constitutional Convention which ratified the U.S. Constitution in 1788.
