This John Barker was not the son of Ebenezer Barker II & Priscilla Loring. Both Ebenezer Barker and his wife Pricilla Loring were born, lived and died in Massachusetts. This John Barker was born about 1773 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, per his findagrave memorial page,. He was married 27 November 1793 to Jane Ewing Porter in Grayson, Virginia. He died 14 April 1849 in Malone, Morgan County, Kentucky.
