Not the same as George Barker, of Caswell County
DO NOT MERGE WITH GEORGE BARKER, GQX2-T3W. Both were from Virginia, but different counties. Both had sons of about the same age and name who served in the Revolution. THEY ARE NOT ONE AND THE SAME.

George Barker Sr. his age is estimated from the 1790 tax list of Wilkes County where he is first shown as being in Capt. McNeil's District and he owning 59 acres of land and he is shown as paying no tax so it is assumed cause of age why he is not paying tax as of this year so if you was 60 or over you where exempt from paying taxes. Well when I say taxes I mean Poll Taxes.
