John born 15 Oct 1690 in Cambridge, son of William Cutter and Rebecca Rolfe. He was baptized at Cambridge, Sept. 15, 1700, married Lydia Harrington, daughter of John and Hannah (Winter) Harrington, of Waltham. She was baptized Mar. 2, 1689-90.
"September 9, 1739, John and wife were founders of the church in the Second Precinct of Cambridge, now Arlington; signing and acknowledging the covenant drawn up by Rev. Samuel Cooke, the first pastor. 17 Nov 1739 he was unanimously chosen a deacon".

Biography
Genealogically Defined
John Cutter[1] was born on October 15, 1690[2], and christened on September 15, 1700[3], in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts. He was the son of William and Rebecca (Rolfe) Cutter. Some time in 1709, based on date of birth of first child, John married Lydia Harrington[3][4] of Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts. They had 11 children: Lydia, Rebecca, Hannah, Mary, John, Abigail, Richard, Thomas, Martha, Ammi, Ruhamah. Lydia passed away January 7, 1755, in Arlington, Middlesex, Massachusetts[5]. John passed away January 21, 1776, also in Arlington[5]. He was survived by 8 children, 68 grandchildren, 115 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren[4][6].
