  • Anonymous additional information* Jonathan Vickery was born 1683 in Hull, Massachusetts (son of Rev. Jonathan Vickery). He married Mary Eldredge in Truro, Massachusetts about 1706. Mary was born in Truro 1682 to Nicholas and Elizabeth Eldredge. Jonathan and Mary were admitted to the Truro church April 26, 1713, and Jonathan was chosen deacon of the church November 13. This was during the time when the first meetinghouse in the town still stood. Jonathan was a resident in the town when it was incorporated in 1709. The first meetinghouse was constructed there between 1709 and 1710 in the Pond Village area. Jonathan was ordained on December 22, 1728. He died November 19, 1741 in Truro and Mary died November 13, 1745 in Truro. The gravestones of both Jonathan and Mary are still standing at the Old North Cemetery in Truro.
