About Deacon Joshua Smith

"Though a little while here
He had his shear
Of sorrow, grief & pain;
His Sole we Trust
Is with the Just
Where it shall ever reign."
"In Memory of Mrs. Mary Smith, wife of Joshua Smith, who died April 3d, 1795, in the 95th year of her age."

"My flesh shall slumber in the ground
Till the last Trumpet's joyful Sound
Then burst the Chains with Sweet Surprise
And in my Savior's Image rise."
