[Pelatiah was a deacon in Fourth Congregational Church, Guilford. He lived on Leete's Island. In late 1769 a deathly epidemic swept through Guilford, CT. 44 citizens died, among them were 7 Leetes, three of whom were sons of Lydia & Pelatiah, namely Noah, Eber and Daniel. Others of the 7 deaths was Pelatiah's mother, Abigail, and Rhoda who was wife of Pelatiah's brother Daniel.]
