Brief overview:

Dean (17), the grandson of Hendrik Janse van Rensburg (82), was strangled to death. Hendrick died from head injuries.

Allegedly, Former farm worker, Isaac Masuku got angry when denied food. He and his employer then apparently pushed each other. Kabini testified that according to Masuku he had a hoe and "chopped the white man with it".

He testified that according to Masuku, a boy came out of the house with a shotgun. Masuku allegedly grabbed the shotgun and strangled the boy.

He then went to arrange transport. Goods in the house were loaded into this car and taken to a farm where his girlfriend lived.

  • Const. Aaron Kabini, who at the time worked at the police's dog unit in Bronkhorstspruit, testified for the state yesterday that he arrested Masuku. He asked Masuku what happened. According to him, Masuku said he told his employer he was hungry.
