Debbie L. Daniels (Zumwalt)

Deborah Lynn Daniels, 63 of Perry passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. Deborah was born on June 21, 1952 in Pittsfield, a daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Gwartney Zumwalt. She married James Daniels on August 7, 1978; he survives.

Deborah loved being a homemaker and a grandma. Her grandchildren were her world and she loved spending time with them and they loved visiting their grandma. She enjoyed the time she spent taking rides on the Harley with Jim and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Jim; a son, Cory (Mandy) Daniels of Griggsville; two daughters, Angie (Johnny Miller) Myers of Hannibal, MO; Kristi Daniels of Chambersburg; and five loving grandchildren, Mariah Myers, Kendall Daniels, Lani Daniels, Kenzie Garrett and Brantley White. Deborah is survived by her siblings: Rick (Andrea) Zumwalt of Marblehead; Randy (Lori) Zumwalt of Baylis; Carol Barnes of Pittsfield and Darla (Greg) Hobson of Griggsville. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Zona Sperry; and a niece, Brandy Barnes.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Clint Weir officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to be made to Oakwood Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nieburfh.com. The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield has been entrusted with the service.

Her birth father is William Ray Ellison #48786059. She was later adopted by Richard Zumwalt.
