Deborah Hazard

When Deborah Ballard was born in September 1776, in Dutchess, New York, United States, her father, John Ballard, was 23 and her mother, Sarah, was 21. She married Edward Hazard on 11 February 1799, in Windsor, Windsor, Broome, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters.

Note: Cemetery Records give the following information: "age 80 years and 9 mo., born 1786 and died 5/16/1867." The headstone does appear to be carved 86y 9m in a photo taken in 1938 by Alva Ray Hazard which would be a birth year of 1880. If the birth year of 1786 is correct then Deborah could not be the mother of the first few children and it is possible that Persis Allen is the mother. More research is needed.
