Desire Sanford [3] was born 12 Feb 1707, and is thought to have died 2 Jan 1795 at Hopkinton, Washington, Rhode Island, USA, although it is possible John was married to two other women after her, which would put her death earlier.

Desire was a member of the Sabbatarian Church in Hopkinton, and is listed as an active member of the governing commitee until 1742.[4]
