Bishop of Trogir Didaco - Didak Manola, son of Dominik Manola and Dominika Felica, was born in Split in 1695 and died in 1765. He attended the classical grammar school in the Split seminary from the school year 1709/10 to 1712/13. As a young priest and professor of the Classical Gymnasium at the Split Seminary, he taught rhetoric in the period from 1724 to 1730. He was the director of the Split Seminary in 1720, 1730 - 1731 and 1746. In 1727 he was elected canon of the cathedral, and on the recommendation of the Archbishop of Laghi, Pope Urban VIII he appointed him archdeacon of Split. After thirty years of work as the archdeacon of Split, Didak Manola was appointed bishop of Trogir in 1755. Shortly after his appointment, he obtained a doctorate in theology from the University of Macerata.
