Didymus Johnson born 24 Dec 1797 in Haddam Middlesex, CT, the son of Didymus & Ruhama Stevens Johnson. He married (1st) Julia Burr on 23 Apr 1818. They were the parents of three sons : Jonathan Burr, Ansel Pelton & George Smith Johnson. Julia died in 1832 and Didymus married (2nd) Lavinia Lane, daughter of Philip & Rebina Nettleton Lane, on 22 Feb 1832 in Killingworth CT. Lavinia & Didymus had two children : Harlow Lane and Julia Lavinia Johnson. Lavinia died in 1839 and Didymus married (3rd) Lydia Lucas 6 June 1840 in Middletown CT. They had one son, Edward Lucas Johnson.

Didymus Johnson is the fifth great grandson of Capt. John Johnson, of Roxbury, who arrived in 1635 with the Winthrop Fleet, on the Arbella.
