  1. This family reconstruction based on the estate accounts of Diederik Koekemoer, MOOC 13/1/18, 15, dated 30 Jan 1793. I have assumed that the ages of the children given in those accounts are based on his date of death, ie. 1790, since that appears to be the case for Abraham Koekemoer, aged given as 20, since his mother died in 1770 according to the Tulbagh death register.
  2. The parents of Diederik Koekemoer: I have assumed that he is the same person as the Diederick, son of Jochem Hendrickse and Maria Putters baptised on 19 July 1716 at Drakenstein. I have so far found no evidence other than the name itself. www.ballfamilyrecords.co.uk
