D.D. Ehrlich immigrated in 1891, from Tscherbakovka, Russia, to Lehigh, Kansas. In 1901, he moved to Shattuck, Oklahoma, where he lived until 1919. The following two years, the family lived in Brighton, Colorado. From 1921 until 1938, the family lived southeast of Shattuck, until D.D. and his wife, Katie, retired from farming and moved into Shattuck, where they lived until death in 1948.
