Colonial Families of Maryland: Bound and Determined to Succeed

By Robert William Barnes

Genforum shows the parents of "Dinah Tracey as Teague Tracey (b. est 1670) and Mary James (b. ca 1672 in Anne Arundel Co MD)"

Additionally, "George Hitchcock, Dinah's stepfather and 2nd husband to Mary James, was one of her sureties for the Adminstrative Bond for John Wheeler's estate. Dinah received 1/3 of John Wheeler's estate, as did each of the two children that Dinah had by John Wheeler before his death. As I mentioned earlier, John Tracey was one of the witnesses of the will of Dinah's son, Solomon Cross. The Tracey family also intermarried into the Merryman family. Joseph Cross, whom I believe was the brother of John Cross who married Dinah Tracey, married Elizabeth Merryman."
