About Dino Philipson
Dino Philipson, a brother to Margherita Philipson, married to Baron Anthony Angelo Solomon Levi, was a member of the Italian Parliament until the advent of Facism and after the fall of Mussolini, became a member of the first Italian cabinet in 1943.
Baron Anthony inherited vast tracts of land from his father and was a pioneer in developing low-cost housing projects.
Because of his influence, he was credited with staving off the wrath of Mussolini when Jewish persecutions began in Fascist Italy in the 1920's.
He was finally forced to leave Italy in 1939 and settle in New York.
