About Dixon Pillay
Dixon Pillay (1966 - 2002)
Brief overview:
Dixson (32), and his brother, Sandy Pillay (28), two well-known Glendale farmers, were last seen alive about 20h00 on Monday 1st April. They had reported a housebreaking to the Glendale Police Station after a geyser, doorframes and electrical cables were stolen from one of the houses on the farm, police spokesperson Superintendant Vasie Naidu said.
Ten hours later, Rajiv Kandhi (16), their nephew, and a motor mechanic found Sandy's burnt body on the verandah next to the front door of the burnt-out house. Sandy's pistol, with its magazine shot empty, was found under his body. Dixson's body was found lying beyond the door.
Forensic tests were done to establish how the fire was started, and whether the brothers were already dead when they were set alight.
The two men are survived by a brother, Lindzy (38), Sandy's wife, Daphne, and the couple's two-year-old son.
