About Don McLean
Don McLean is an American singer-songwriter best known for the 1971 album American Pie, containing the songs "American Pie" and "Vincent."
His mother was born in New York to Italian parents with origins in Abruzzo. His father's family had lived in the state of New York for many generations and had Scottish, English, Dutch, German, and Swiss-German ancestry.
