Education: Received bachelor's degree in economics from BYU (1973).
Employment: President and principal in The Hallstrom Group Inc., a real estate economics firm in Honolulu (1980-present); worked for similar organization in Honolulu (1973-1980).
Church service: Area Authority Seventy in the North America West Area (1997-present), Area Authority (1995-1997), regional representative (1990-1995), president of Honolulu Hawaii Stake (1985-1990), bishop of Makiki Ward (1980-1985), served in the England Central Mission (1969-1971).
Community service: On executive board of the Aloha Council of Boy Scouts of America; vice-chairman of board of directors of Hawaii Reserves Inc., a Church affiliated company that oversees the non-ecclesiastical real estate the Church owns in Hawaii; member of the President's Round Table for BYU-Hawaii.
