About Donald Skaggs
Donald Skaggs was the son of John and Ethel Skaggs, he married Doris Ioerger on August 1, 1953, in Pontiac, Illinois. She died October 9, 2003.
Surviving are one son, David (Susan) Skaggs, one daughter, Dona (Gary) Robbins, one brother, Burnis Skaggs, four sisters, Ilene Kinkade, Betty Marshall,Shelly Skaggs and Mary Skaggs, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn McMullen, one brother, two sisters and one grandson.
A World War II Army veteran, he earned the Purple Heart and other medals. He was a member of the Minonk VFW Post 7185.
He owned and operated Skaggs Welding in Minonk for more than 50 years.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk.
