Donna May Prass

Donna May Prass was born 7 May 1928 in Lockport, Indiana, to the late Elmer Hammer and Dora [Harris] Hammer/Perry. Although never formally adopted by her step-father, she went by the name of Perry in her youth, up to her first marriage. Donna Graduated from Jefferson High School in 1945. On 29 August 1948, she married William Wesley Peneton (1923-2010) in Lafayette, Indiana, and that marriage ended in divorce. On 3 March 1951, she married Richard Neil Prass (1923-1994) in Bedford, Indiana, with whom she had two Sons. Mrs. Prass spent her early years in Carroll County until coming to Lafayette, where she lived from 1932-1950, and again from 1957-1977. She had also lived in Fairfield and Vallejo, California; Indianapolis, Anderson, and Greenfield, Indiana, before moving to Nazareth, Pennsylvania in 2000. She worked as a Lab Tech at the former Medical Arts Building in the 1960's and 1970's, before receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Purdue University in 1975, afterwards moving on to Indianapolis, then Greenfield in 1981. There, she worked as a sales associate for Tucker reality until her retirement in 2000. In Nazareth, she was involved in Church actives at St. John's United Church of Christ. Donna died in the early morning hours of 1 September 2011, at her home in Nazareth. Surviving are her two sons, one stepson, seven Grandchildren, and ten Great-Grandchildern.
