Dorcas Barney, born April 22, 1671 in Salem, Essex Co., Mass.; died September 19, 1697 in Bristol, Bristol Co., R.I; married Daniel Throop Scrope August 23, 1689 in Bristol, Bristol Co., R.I; born April 06, 1667 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Mass.; died December 09, 1737 in Lebanon, Litchfield Co., Conn.. Notes for Daniel Throop Scrope: R.I. Gen. Register 14:237-257: "Lines of Descent from William Throop eof Bristol, R.I." RIGR 14:238 gives death as 3 Dec 1737, in 67th year, at Lebanon, Conn .; WFT #7:3895 says d. Dec. 9, 1737 in Lebanon, Conn. So does WFT #1 8:2278. RIGR 14:239: All of Daniel Throope's children, by his three wives, w ere born in Bristol, R.I., except one in 1700, so he did not move to Lebanon , CT until after Feb. 1717. He was there before Dec. 1724, when his daughter De borah, married in Lebanon. WFT #1:5366 has death as 9 Dec 1737.
