Dorine Iva Kabell

Dorine Iva Kabell, 83, of Rochester, IN, formerly of Newberry, MI, passed away at 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, IN.

The former Dorine Sevarns was born in Newberry, MI, on July 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Arthur Sevarns and Hazel Maule Sevarns.

She had been employed at Strohs Brewery of Detroit and the Wood Products Sawmill of Newberry. She married Crawford "Bud" Kabell on April 15, 1944 in Newberry. He preceded her in death.

Dorine Kabell was survived by a daughter, Iva (Robert) Masterson and of Rochester, IN; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; three sisters: Viola Troop of Newberry, Cora Mae Manning of Oklahoma, Ella "Sweetie Pie" Sevarns of Kalamazoo; four brothers: James (Polly) Sevarns of Newberry, Leroy Sevarns of Carson, City, MI, Luke Sevarns and Doris of Manistique, Roger (Florence) Sevarns of McMillan. Nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Marlene Royster and three brothers: Arthur ‘"Junior", Charles and Robert "Jiggs" Sevarns.
