Note:

Jacobus Johannes Andries van Zyl did marry a Dorothea Regina Nel on 8 Sep 1862 in Ladismith. According to the relevant document, Dorothea Regina was 16 years old at that time. I.e. her date of birth must have been circa 1846. The bride could therefore not have been this Dorothea Regina Nel (f5), who was born in 1829.

For additional documentation, also refer to Dorothea Regina's younger sister (with identical names), Dorothea Regina Nel (f9).

The fact that her parents named a later daughter identically, leads one to assume this Dorothea Regina Nel (f5) died whilst young.
