Dorothy Jane Archer

Dorothy Jane Archer, 75, of New Berlin died at 2:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Springfield, the daughter of Brooke and Annie Crane Newberry. She married William E. Archer on Aug. 23, 1952, in Springfield.

She was a member of Calvary Temple and retired from Memorial Medical Center as a nurse anesthetist.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Orme.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Archer of New Berlin; two daughters, Marilyn Stefan (husband, Robert) of New Berlin and Trish Garner (husband, Rich) of Springfield; sister, Virginia Starling of Springfield; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation and funeral will be at Calvary Temple, with the Rev. Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery.
