    Lady Dorothy Howard was born between 1497 and 1545. She was the daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk and Agnes Tilney.1 She married Edward Stanley, 3rd Earl of Derby, son of Thomas Stanley, 2nd Earl of Derby and Anne Hastings, circa 21 February 1530.1

    As a result of her marriage, Lady Dorothy Howard was styled as Countess of Derby circa 21 February 1530. From circa 21 February 1530, her married name became Stanley.
