Notes: In 1427 the Shipbrook estates passed to the Savage family. Dorothy, the great-granddaughter, and sole heiress of the 8th Baron, married Sir John Savage. The 'or, a fess azure', with the maid in crest, remained in the family of the Vernons of Haslington.
