Dorothy Noyes, dau. and eldest child of Rev. James Noyes & Dorothy Stanton, was b. June 22, 1675 at Stonington, Conn. and d. at Preston, Conn. on Dec. 6, 1714, Æ 40.

On Apr. 28, 1698 at Stonington, Dorothy m. Rev. Salmon Treat, s. of Lieut. James Treat & Rebecca Latimer, b. at Wethersfield, Conn. circa 1672-3 and d. at Preston, Conn. on Jan. 6, 1762, Æ 90. Dorothy and Salmon had nine children, who are outlined in their father's memorial page.

Dorothy's father, Rev. James Noyes, was the first and longstanding pastor of the Stonington First Congregational Church, also referred to as Stonington's "Road Church." Although there is no record of the marriages performed by Dorothy's father, she was undoubtedly married to her husband by her father. She was subsequeently admitted to membership of her father's church on Aug. 14, 1698 as "Mrs. Dorothy Treat." Three months later on Nov. 19, 1698, Rev. Salmon Treat was ordained pastor at the founding of the Congregational Church at Preston, Conn.
