Dorothy Witter

Based on discussion with other experienced genealogists - conclusion is that this is the Dorothy Elliott baptised in 1824 -On the 1850 marriage record Henry Hewitt was identified as the husband of Dorothy Elliott. Henry's surname was most likely an error made by the person transcribing the information. Research so far have not shown an Henry Hewitt having children with Dorothy Elliott. Also research did not turn up a record of an Henry Hewitt that would match the time period being looked at. Unless other information comes to light that would refute these conclusions, it is assumed that the attached sources are correct for this couple.
