About Dot Marie Harrington-Sullivan-Pirone (Ruth)
Dorothy Helen Ruth Pirone was adopted by Babe Ruth and his first wife, Helen. Decades later, she wrote a book, My Dad, the Babe, claiming that she was Ruth's biological child by a girlfriend named Juanita Jennings.
After Helen Ruth died in a house fire in January 1929, Dorothy moved in with Ruth and his girlfriend, Claire Hodgson, whom he married that April.
She married Daniel J. Sullivan, an employee of the Railway Express Agency, on 7 January 1940. They had 6 children before they divorced in 1945. She then married Dominick Pirone, a New York contractor, on 8 December 1948. They had three children.
She raised Arabian horses. She was a joint plaintiff along with the Babe Ruth League in a trademark dispute with Macmillan Incorporated over the use of Ruth's likeness.
