The family sadly announces the peaceful passing of our beloved Pa on 9 Feb 2024. Devoted husband of Helen (dec) Father of Lesley and Judith. Grandfather of Robyn, Steven, Bradley and Jason. Great-grand father of Sarah, Rebecca, Natasha, Sophie, Owen, Alfred, Lachlan, Andrew, Liam and Maeve. A kind and humble gentleman. Rest in peace now after 101 years of a life well lived.

Western Australia mourns the loss of one of its most decorated WWII heroes, Doug Arrowsmith. He passed away at 101 years old on February 9, 2024. This marks the end of a remarkable life lived with bravery and humility.

Doug Arrowsmith, a WWII pilot, served with distinction in 460 Squadron. He flew 35 missions during the war, a testament to his courage and skill.
