DOUGLAS E. BACORN AGE 81 YEARS UNITED STATES ARMY VETERAN

Douglas E. Bacorn, of Forksville, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home. He was a son of the late Rodney E. and Lucille E. (Nicoles) Bacorn.

Doug served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post 601, Sonestown, and the A.J. Bird Memorial Post 384 V.F.W. New Albany.

He was a Life Member of the Sullivan County Agriculture Society and enjoyed working at the Sullivan County Fair.

Doug was employed for Warren Fiester as an Auctioneer for many years. He was also employed at the former Baumunk Lumber Company, several other local sawmills, and retired from L&H Lumber after having worked there for over 10 years.

Surviving are two sons, Richard L. (Robin Rexer) Bacorn of Forksville, and Randy (Wendy) Bacorn of Monroeton; four brothers Duane E. (Mary Ann) Bacorn of Dushore, Dean E. (Rebecca) Bacorn of New Albany, Dale L. (Daisey) Bacorn of Durbin, WV, and Hugh Conkright of Wellsboro; his companion of 22 years, Naomi of Forksville.

Burial: Forksville Cemetery with graveside military honors accorded by the A.J. Bird Memorial Post 384 V.F.W. New Albany.
