Douglas M. Curlew

It is with great sadness the families of Doug Curlew announce his passing on Saturday , July 14th.2018 in his 82nd year.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Gladys. Daughters ; Holly ( Ted ) Goulding of Deer Lake,NL., Cathy (Vince) Rubia of Missagua ON., Marlene ( Claude ) Ellsworth of Deer Lake NL.. Sons ; Frank Curlew of Whitehorse,YT., Perry (Leah) Curlew of Perth ON..Step Children; Barbara (Clyde) Osborne of Sparwood BC., David ( Cindy ) Parsons of Fort Kent AB..Brothers; Calvin (Dorthy) Curlew of Deer Lake NL. Winston ( Shirley) Curlew of Deer Lake NL.,Harry (Barbara) of Deer Lake NL., Donald Curlew of British Columbia. Sister; Sadie Shears of Port aux Basques NL.. Sister-in-laws ; Joan Curlew and Irene Curlew. Mother of his children Ina Curlew of Burlington ON.. 11 grandchildren. 8 Great- grand children. 4 Step -grandchildren. 6 Step-great-grandchildren.

Doug was predeceased by his parents; James & Ida Curlew. Sisters; May, Renne, Mary and Pearl. Brothers; Jim, Harold, Ray and Roy. Sister-in-laws ; Margaret and Doreen. Brother-in-law Bud Dinney.

The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel on Monday August 6th, 2018 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and the memorial service will take place on Tuesday August 7th, 2018, at 2:00 pm from the Salvation Army Church with Minister leader Sandra Pinksen officiating, with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Salvation Army Church section of the Deer Lake cemetery on Wight's Road, Deer Lake.
