They settled on Hickory Creek near Viola and was probably the first physician to practice in the county outside of McMinnville and may have been the first to practice in the County.

Warren County is located in Middle Tennessee, one of the state's three"Grand Divisions." Warren County was formed in 1807 from White County and is named for Major General Joseph Warren, patriot of the American Revolution. Warren County is also known as the Nursery Capital of the World. McMinnville is the county seat.

Dr. Archibald FAULKNER had a grist mill and the first woolen mill and cotton gin on Hickory Creek in the Eighth District. By process of elimination, it appears that Archibald's wife, Rebecca was the daughter of William BURKHALTER and Rebecca RAMSEY. Buried in Wheeler Cemetery,Warren County, TN. Wheeler Cemetery was destroyed in 1980.
