Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA was named, in part, for him. Dr. Johnston's Mom, Daughter of Gov. Floyd. Dr.Ambler dedicated his 1917, work to her son Dr. Johnston. Founder of Johnston-Willis, Hospital in Richmond.John Warfield Johnston son of Dr. John Warfield Johnston and Louisa his wife was married Oct 12th 1841 to Nichettti Buchanan Floyd daughter of Governor John Floyd and his wife Latitia (born Preston).They had the following Children-

1.John Warfield Johnston born Aug 8th 1842 and died Jan 6, 1851. 2.Letty Floyd Johnston born March 1st 84 and is unmarried 3.Louisa Boen Johnston was born January 17 1846 and married Daniel Trigg a lawyer of Abindon Va, They have six living children and lost two in infancy. 4.Sally Buchanan Johnston was born March 10th 1848 and married Henry G Lee.They have four children. 5..Lavalette Estill Johnston was born March 7, 1850 and married John F. McMullen of Maryland. They have seven living children and lost one, who died in infancy. 6.William Floyd Johnston was born March 7. 1852 and was drowned at Wheeling? June 3. 1869. 7.George Benjamin Johnston was born July 25, 1853.Is a doctor resident in Richmond.He married Miss Mary McClung, who died soon after the marriage leaving no child. 8.Miriam Hartford Johnston was born Jan 16th 1857 and died June 30th 1876. 9.Joseph Bevery Bowen Johnston was born April 11, 1859.His is United States Commisioner at Onnalashlua-Alaska. 10. Coralie Henry Johnston was born 26 February 1861. 11 and 12 Mary and Sebastian died in infancy. Altho Dr. Ambler, dedicated his 1917, work to Dr. Johnston. Gave Nicati, as Half Blood as Robert Davis wife. is not clear why he did not follow the work done by VA Historical society, in 1890s. when Alexander Brown, came to Dr. Johnstons, moms sister. and took Nicati to wife of Hughes, and Robert Davis grandma, and not his wife, is not clear un less he was not in knowledge of Dr. Johnstons Aunt giving the history in 1890s .
