Dr. George Thomas Wood, 75 (February 19, 1908 – May 28, 1983), of Louisville, died Saturday at the Highland Baptist Hospital. He was a native of Maysville, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a retired dentist,, who had practiced in Pleasureville, a member of Suburban Christian Church, and the Pleasureville Masonic Lodge #410 F. & A.M.
He is survived by his wife: Ruth Baker Wood, Louisville; one son: William F. Wood, Huntington Beach, CA; one daughter: Mrs. Judith Stanley and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Willhite Funeral Home, Middletown. Rev. Jones Berkey and Rev. Edward Strainey officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
