Gustav Kohn (* May 22 1859 in Reichenau , † December 15 1921 in Vienna ) was an Austrian mathematician . Kohn studied from 1877 to 1883 mathematics and physics in Vienna at Leo Königsberg and Emil Weyr , Berlin (1882/83, Karl Weierstrass ) and Strasbourg . In 1881 he was in Vienna, graduated and was there for the Habilitation in 1884 lecturer, associate professor in 1894. In the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Sciences , he wrote articles on algebraic curves. He also published an "Introduction to the synthetic geometry." From 1919 he was a member of the Leopoldina in Halle.
