About Dr. Henry Wilson
From History of Ophthalmology 5, edited by Harold E. Henkes

(Sir William) Wilde had to travel a lot to see his many patients. He became quite a womanizer and G.B. Shaw claimed that he wanted to establish a family in every Irish hamlet. One of his natural sons apparently was Dr. Henry Wilson (an abbreviated form of 'Wilde's son'), 1838-1878, who was Wilde's assistant and then became a prominent ophthalmologist in Dublin. He had studied ophthalmology in Cairo under Frenchman Clot and then spent months at Moorfield's where he was associated with William Farr and Sir James Clark.
