Notes

Educated at Harvard (1738), Issac practiced medicine in East Bridgewater, MA. He served a short time in the Revolutionary War as surgeon in Col. Edward Mitchell’s regiment. In 1762 his name appears on a List of Officers commissioned for the 2d Regiment of Militia in the County of Plymouth, with rank of Captain of 7th Bridgewater Company, Col. Thomas Clapp’s Regiment. In the Revolution he appears with rank of Surgeon on Muster and Pay Roll of Col. Mitchell’s Regiment, for service on alarm at Bristol, RI, 8 Dec 1776. Time of service, 16 days. (7)
