Joseph Williams, son of Thomas and Sarah, born in Plainfield, Connecticut 28 Oct 1679. This Joseph married in Plainfield, 13 Oct 1710, Susannah Lawrans, d. Peleg of Grotton.[2] It is in Plainfield that his children were born.

Plainfield May 1, 1752 the last will and testament of Joseph Williams of Plainfield - beloved wife Susannah, four sons Samuel, Nathan, Eliheu, Ebenezer, daughter Elizabeth Butts and husband Josiah, daughter Susannah Parrish. Eldest son Samuel was executor. This will was presented in court June 8 1752.[3]

5. Nathan, son of Joseph and Susanah, was born 1 Mar 1722/3[2]
6. Elisha, son of Joseph and Susannah, was born 23 May 1725.[2] Called Elihu is his father's will
7. Anne, daughter of Joseph and Suesanna, was born 14 Aug 1728; d. 13 Sept 1728[2]
8. Elezer, son of Joseph and Suesanna, was born 8 Sep 1730; d. the same day[2]
9. Ebenezer, son of Joseph and Suesanna, was born 8 Sep 1730[2]
10. Susannah, daughter of Joseph and Suesannah, was born 28 Nov 1732; m. Ebenezer Parish 13 Feb 1752.[2]
