Julius Johannes Ludovicus Ritter von Payer
(2 September 1841, – 29 August 1915), ennobled Ritter von Payer in 1876, was an officer of the Austro-Hungarian Army, mountaineer, arctic explorer, cartographer, painter, and professor at the Theresian Military Academy. He is chiefly known for the Austro-Hungarian North Pole expedition in 1872–74 and the discovery of Franz Josef Land.

Ю́лиус Иога́ннес Людо́викус фон Па́йер (нем. Julius Johannes Ludovicus von Payer; 2 сентября 1841, Шёнау, Богемия — 29 августа 1915, Фельдес, Герцогство Крайна) — австро-венгерский исследователь Арктики, художник, писатель, альпинист.
Участник Второй германской арктической экспедиции[en] Карла Кольдевея (1869—1870). Руководитель (вместе с Карлом Вайпрехтом) Австро-Венгерской полярной экспедиции (1872—1874), в ходе которой была открыта Земля Франца-Иосифа. Автор ряда художественных произведений, преимущественно, полярной тематики.
