About Dr. LaMar Bate Hilton
Dr. LaMar Bate Hilton died on September 17, 1990, of complications following a stroke. Born July 30, 1925 in Rigby, Idaho, to Hyrum and Ethel Viola Bate Hilton. Married Raona Marie Evans September 18, 1947, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Attended schools in Salt Lake City graduating from Granite High. He recieved his D. M. D. degree from the University of Oregon Dental School in Portland, Oregon. He enjoyed practicing dentistry in Salt Lake for 40 years. LaMar was an active High Priest in the LDS Church and was serving as a volunteer at the Family History Library. He served on a destroyer in the Navy during World War II and as a dentist in the Army during the Korean Conflict. His hobbies included lapidary with his father, working on projects at home and for others, and geneology.
Survived by wife, Salt Lake; children, Raymond LaMar (Louise Glade), West Jordan, Michael Evans (Loraine Cannon), Alameda, California, Mrs. Robert W. (Barbara) Barwick, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mrs. Kevin R. (Peggy) Sevy, Taylorsville, Dennis Hugh (AngiLee Ringwood), Bennion; brothers, H. Wayne, Honolulu, Hawaii, Robert H., Salt Lake; sister, Mrs. John M. (Ida) Anderson, West Valley; step-mother, Gladys Hilton. Grandpa loved his 13 grandchildren who are Mark, Lisa, Tiffany, Riley, Brett, Adrianne, Jennylynne, Sara and Matthew, Salt Lake, Albert, Alameda, California, Raona, Sarah and Emily, Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 20, 1990, 12:00 noon at the Yalecrest 2nd Ward 1800 East 1035 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and at the ward, Thursday, one hour prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Lawn.
