Dr. Lourdes V. Lapuz

A 1949 graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP), she headed the UP's Psychiatry Department from 1971 to 1976, the Psychiatry Department of St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC) from 1985 to 2000, and the Psychiatry Department of the Medical City from 1996 to 2002. She co-founded SLMC's Institute for Neurosciences in 1991, and was its co-director from its foundation until 2001.

She published 3 books:

1) Filipino Marriages in Crisis; 1977
2) A Study of Psychopathology; 1978
3) When A Doctor Dies; 2003
